The VBx-1 electronic vibrator represents a whole new paradigm in vibrator replacements. Microprocessor controlled for the highest accuracy and features available, nothing else even comes close!

Full protection against reverse battery, shorted outputs and over power, the VBx-1 is nearly indestructible. Because of this ruggedness, the VBx-1 can be hard wired into the circuit like any other robust component such as resistors and capacitors. It can also be wired to an original style vibrator base for plug-ability, or even placed inside the can of an original vibrator! With this flexibility, hard to find 5, 6 and 7 pin vibrators are no longer an issue. Operating from 3.0 - 18V (12-38V for VBF-1), only one board is required for all positive ground installations and one for all negative ground installations.

Through the use of sophisticated algorithms, the microprocessor allows the VBx-1 to offer such unheard of features as deadband control, delayed start, soft start, delayed restart, short circuit protection and over power protection, all with astounding accuracy. The deadband control, delayed start and soft start features in particular greatly reduce the stresses on the transformer and rectifier extending their lives.

Not only does the VBx-1 protect itself, but it also protects expensive parts in the radio like the transformer, rectifier and filters. Unlike simple “dumb” electronic vibrators that will burn a transformer up if something as simple as the buffer capacitor shorts, the VBx-1 immediately senses this protecting itself and the transformer until the buffer capacitor can be replaced! No longer can a careless user destroy expensive parts in their radio simply by leaving it turned on after a failure.

HPC-1
High Power Voltage Converter

Over 70% more powerful @ -6V and 1/4 the size of the competition!

The HPC-1 offers a new level of performance in 6V vehicles. Until now, owners of vehicles with original 6/12V positive ground and 6V negative ground systems were extremely limited with their converted radios due to the anemic output of available power converters. With the HPC-1, owners can now fully drive two 4 ohm speakers, or four speakers at reduced power.

The HPC-1’s highly efficient synchronous design ensures low power dissipation while providing maximum output to the radio. The HPC-1 can provide up to 56W output power from a 6V positive ground system and 90W output power from a 6V negative ground system with the engine at fast idle.

Fully filtered on all connections, and through the use of proprietary EMI reduction circuitry, the HPC-1 provides and extremely clean output without the need for large, power robbing external filters.

The HPC-1 features full reverse battery and transient protection. A low voltage lockout circuit ensures the converter always operates properly. No more blown fuses or damaged converters due to a weak battery! Due to the clever design of the HPC-1, only a single board is required for all installations reducing inventory. Its extremely small size and EMI output allow it to be mounted directly inside the converted radio simplifying installation and operation.

FMR-HV1
High Voltage Relay Driver

The FMR-HV1 is used to power the high voltage seek relays used in many late 1950’s Delco® Wonderbar® radios. The FMR-HV1 is a current limited supply that works with both the low impedance and high impedance style relays. With it’s 52V open circuit output voltage, even the high impedance style relays will operate normally without having to weaken the return spring. Unlike competing supplies that operate at 20-40kHz causing noise across the AM band, the FMR-HV1 uses an automotive switching regulator operating at 2MHz. Since this frequency is above the AM band, the FMR-HV1 cannot interfere with AM reception.

The FMR-HV1 is fully self contained and requires no external components. It is designed to wire directly between the FMR-1 and the seek relay. It’s ultra small size and high efficiency allow it to be easily mounted anywhere inside the radio.
